A UK company has just unveiled the latest travel innovation - power assisted luggage.
LiveLuggage's new PA series of cases include a rechargeable battery and electronic management system which powers the wheels when the handle is tilted and extra energy is needed to pull the luggage. Five years in development, the product features "flat motor technology" built into the wheels, as well as a special Anti Gravity Handle, force sensors and tilt switches and even a vuilt-in umbrella. A snap at around £700 it can be bought online at www.liveluggage.com or through a network of distributors.. The company's website uses the logo "Because the world is not flat" and also has a testimonial from someone called Neil Armstrong (not sure if it's the real Apollo 11 astronaut). saying "How is it we put a man on the moon 40 years before the idea of power assisted luggage?".
